END MODERN DAY SLAVERY

A21 logo

We have joined with A21 in their fight to end slavery.

We have the privilege of partnering with A21 specifically in South East Asia, focused on ending modern day slavery & sex trafficking. The A21 team works through Reach, Recover and Restore programs, paving a new life of hope in God for these incredible survivors. We recently sent a team to see the work first hand and to pursue opportunities to increase our impact in this area.

Can You See Me?

Modern-day slavery and human trafficking continue to be widespread issues in Cambodia and Thailand, often hidden in plain sight. Numerous girls are tricked into accepting ‘work’ opportunities that are completely different from what they expect, only to suffer abuse and severe mistreatment. The video below, created by A21 for the “Can You See Me?” campaign, is inspired by the real-life story of Seila, and powerfully reveals the shocking and heartbreaking realities that millions face across Southeast Asia in the present day.

Advocacy for children.

Social workers in Cambodia are dedicated to locating and rescuing victims of human trafficking. The Advocacy Centre serves as a safe space where survivors can be interviewed, ensuring the right interventions are provided. Investigations are conducted in partnership with the FBI and Homeland Security to hold perpetrators accountable and secure their conviction. The centre is thoughtfully designed to create a comforting environment where children feel safe while working with social workers and completing restoration programmes.
